Denzel Barton, born and raised on the south east side of San Antonio, Texas, is a dancer/choreographer who has been passionate about music and movement for as long as he could remember. Admiring performers like Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Usher, and studying choreographers like Sean Bankhead, Brian Friedman, and Paris Gobel, Denzel has always been submerged in the world of creativity and performance. He attended McLennan Community College where he earned two NDA National Titles. He also attended Sam Houston State University as a dance BFA major and a member of Orange Pride, where he trained under phenomenal professors such as Elijah Gibbson, Andy/Dion Noble, Joshua Manculich, and Sarah Garcia. After attending University Denzel moved back home to be closer to his family and soon began his profession as a studio teacher. You can describe Denzel‘s dance style as commercial street, jazz with pops of technique and modern flare. His style really focuses on musicality, cleanliness, and weight shifting. His goal as a teacher is to help elevate his students interpretation of musicality/performance and provide teaching that is solid in his jazz/modern training.
